Heavy-duty UAV with vertical take-off and landing

THE WAR BEGAN BY RUSSIA AGAINST UKRAINE SHOWED THAT HUGE CHANGES ARE OCCURRING IN THE NATURE OF WARFARE, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY IN THE EQUIPMENT USED. THE COMBAT OPERATIONS BETWEEN AZERBAIJAN AND ARMENIA DEMONSTRATED FOR THE FIRST TIME THAT THE USE OF UAVS HAS DRASTICALLY CHANGED THE TACTICS OF WAR.
THE USE OF COMBAT UAVS SERIOUSLY CHANGED THE REQUIREMENTS FOR MILITARY EQUIPMENT.
TANKS NEEDED PROTECTION FROM BEING HIT BY AMMUNITION FROM ABOVE.
ARTILLERY GAINED MOBILITY. NON-SELF-PROPELLED ARTILLERY MOUNTS WERE IMMEDIATELY DESTROYED.
EVERYTHING NEEDED COVER BY RADIO-ELECTRONIC PROTECTION MEANS.
AND MUCH ELSEWHERE…
AND THE NEED FOR CHANGES WAS CAUSED BY THE MASSIVE USE OF UAVS.
AND THIS IS WHILE THERE ARE COMPLETELY NO REUSABLE HEAVY-CLASS UAVS THAT TAKE OFF VERTICALLY, WITH A PAYLOAD OF MORE THAN 100KG.
AND IT IS SUCH UAVS THAT CAN AND SHOULD HAVE AN EVEN MORE INFLUENCE ON THE NATURE OF COMBAT. IN ALL ASPECTS.
AND OUR TEAM IS WORKING ON CREATING SUCH A VERTICAL TAKE-OFF AND LANDING UAV.
DZHMIL-90 – VERTICAL TAKE-OFF AND LANDING UAV (VTOL) WITH AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE (ICE), TAKE-OFF WEIGHT UP TO 350 KG AND A PAYLOAD UP TO 130 KG.
NOW IN UKRAINE AND IN THE WORLD THERE IS NO CLASS OF UAVS THAT CAN CARRY CARRIAGES OF UP TO 130 KG AT A DISTANCE OF UP TO 200 KM – TRANSPORT, PATROL, STRIKE (WEAPONS CARRIERS), SEPPER (FOR REMOTE SEARCH FOR MINE), SANITARY-EVACATION AND OTHERS.
THE DESIGN OF THE DZHMIL-90 UAV GIVES IT CAPABILITIES UNACHIEVABLE FOR UAVS WITH ELECTRIC ENGINES.
UAVS WITH INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES ARE MUCH EASIER TO ENSURE ROUND-THE-CLOCK USE (IT IS ENOUGH TO HAVE A SUFFICIENT SUPPLY OF FUEL), WITHOUT THE NEED TO HAVE A GENERATOR, SEVERAL BATTERIES, ETC.
THAT’S WHY WE CONSIDER SUCH UAVS THE MOST PROMISING CLASS, WITH GREAT DEVELOPMENT POTENTIAL.
AND CONSIDERING THE GROWING ATTENTION TO THIS CLASS OF UAVS IN THE WORLD, THE EXPORT OPPORTUNITIES OF THE PROJECT ARE VERY GOOD.
THE TASKS OF LOGISTICS, EVACUATION OF THE WOUNDED, REMOTE MINING, AND DEMINING THAT THE AFU MUST SOLVE REQUIRES A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN THE BASIC DATA OF THE UAV – CARGO CAPACITY AND FLIGHT TIME.
CURRENTLY EXISTING ELECTRIC UAVS DO NOT SATISFY THE AFU DUE TO THEIR INSUFFICIENT CHARACTERISTICS.
THE USE OF BATTERY TECHNOLOGIES HAS REACHED THE TECHNICAL LIMIT. INSUFFICIENT ENERGY DENSITY OF MODERN BATTERIES (10-12 TIMES LESS THAN GASOLINE) DOES NOT ALLOW TO CREATE ELECTRIC UAVS WITH THE NECESSARY CHARACTERISTICS.
THIS IS ESPECIALLY THE CASE FOR VERTICAL TAKEOFF AND LANDING UAVS.
THE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM OF IMPROVING CHARACTERISTICS IS THE CREATION OF VERTICAL TAKEOFF AND LANDING UAVS WITH AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, A PAYLOAD OF UP TO 130KG. SUCH AS THE DZHMIL-90 UAV DEVELOPED BY US.
CREATING SUCH A UAV IS A COMPLEX ENGINEERING TASK, AS IT REQUIRES THE USE OF AN INTERNAL ENGINE WITH AN ELECTRONIC CONTROL SYSTEM, VARIABLE-PITCH PROPELLERS WITH ELECTRONIC CONTROL, A LIGHTWEIGHT AND POWERFUL TRANSMISSION, AND OTHER INNOVATIVE SYSTEMS.
OUR TEAM SOLVED THESE PROBLEMS, CREATED AND TESTED A PROTOTYPE (TECHNOLOGY DEMONSTRATER) WITH ALL OF THE ABOVE SYSTEMS.

OUR PROJECT WAS ORIGINALLY CREATED IN 2017 TO DEVELOP THE MAIN OPTION – A PILOTED VERTICAL TAKEOFF AND LANDING VEHICLE WITH ELECTRONIC CONTROL.
BUT IN ESSENCE, SUCH A VEHICLE IS THE SAME UAV, ONLY THE CONTROL SIGNALS TO THE FLIGHT CONTROLLER COME NOT FROM THE RECEIVER (AS IN A UAV), BUT DIRECTLY FROM THE COCKPIT CONTROL JOYSTICK.
OTHERWISE, A UAV AND A PILOTED VEHICLE ARE 90-95% THE SAME.
SO IN FACT WE ARE CREATING A UNIVERSAL PLATFORM THAT CAN BE USED FOR VARIOUS PURPOSES.
DURING THE DEVELOPMENT OF OUR PROJECT, WE HAVE ALREADY COME A LONG WAY AND COMPLETED THE GROUND TESTING STAGE.
THE DESIGN OF THE DEVICE’S NODES HAS BEEN DEVELOPED AND TESTED.
And most importantly – our team ALREADY HAS PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE! We don’t just offer computer images!

WE ARE READY TO CONTINUE WORK ON THE PROJECT TO CREATE A HEAVY-CLASS VERTICAL TAKEOFF AND LANDING UAV FOR THE ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE. WE NEED FINANCING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A FLIGHT MODEL.

WE HAVE DEVELOPED THE DESIGN OF THE DEVICE WITH CONSIDERATION OF THE POSSIBILITY OF PUTTING INTO PRODUCTION AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.
THIS IS WHY WE AVOID USING EXOTIC HIGH-TECH MATERIALS.
SERIALLY PRODUCED PARTS, ASSEMBLY AND MECHANISMS ARE USED TO THE MAXIMUM. PRODUCTION OF UNITS AND PARTS OF THE DEVICE IS POSSIBLE ON UNIVERSAL EQUIPMENT. WHICH WILL ALLOW YOU TO QUICKLY START SERIAL PRODUCTION AND INCREASE THE PRODUCTION VOLUME OF THE DEVICE IN THE QUANTITIES REQUIRED BY THE ARMY.
WELL, THE NEED FOR SUCH DEVICES FOR THE ARMY IS, I’M SURE, OBVIOUS!
WHEN RECEIVING THE NECESSARY INVESTMENT, NO LATER THAN 6 MONTHS. WE’LL START FLIGHT TESTING!
TO PRODUCE THE DEVICE, THE AMOUNT OF ABOUT 200.000 euro IS REQUIRED. THIS IS NOT SUCH A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT TO START PRODUCTION OF A DEVICE WHICH IS URGENTLY NEEDED BY THE DEFENDERS OF UKRAINE!
